Zed Haunted House Actors

The ZED Haunted House is the major, annual fundraiser BGC of Red Deer and District holds to support Clubs. The ZED Haunted House would not be able to run without the generous work of volunteers. We greatly appreciate those who give their time to be a part of this fundraiser. Gain work experience skills, earn Youth HQ Dollars, give back to the community, and have a lot of fun scaring visitors at one of Red Deer’s best Halloween attractions!

This registration is for youth ages 14-17 to register to volunteer for the Haunted House. If you or someone you know is over 18 and would like to volunteer, please contact AlyshaH@YouthHQ.ca

All youth must register here before volunteering.

All adults must register with AlyshaH@YouthHQ.ca before volunteering.

Food will be provided on week nights, prior to your volunteer acting shift in the Haunted House, but we cannot guarantee accommodations for dietary restrictions.

We ask that all actors volunteering at the Haunted House, attend at least 1 training session prior to volunteering. Actor Training Dates are as follows:

Tuesday, October 6 from 5:30pm-8:00pm
Wednesday, October 7 from 5:30pm-8:00pm
Thursday, October 8 from 5:30pm-8:00pm
Saturday, October 10 from 1:00pm-3:30pm

Youth who volunteer their time at the Zed Haunted House earn Youth HQ Dollars. Youth HQ dollar can be spent on Youth HQ merchandise and programs, including going toward Camp Alexo registrations. Youth earn Youth HQ dollars at $3/hour for volunteering as an actor, except on Halloween night. Volunteering on Halloween earns a flat $50 Youth HQ dollars for working the night. Youth HQ dollars earned at the 2026 Zed Haunted House will expire in August of 2027.
