Youth HQ is delighted announce that the Piper Creek Optimist Club has is sponsoring the Parkvale Club House location for the next 5 years, a sponsorship worth $30,000.
This is just one of many ways in which the Piper Creek Optimist Club continues to support BGC and Youth HQ programming. We greatly appreciate and value of friends at the Piper Creek Optimist Club. The funds generated will have a substantial impact on our programs and services we deliver out of the Parkvale location, states John Johnston, Community Engagement Manager, YouthHQ.
The Parkvale Club House, located at 4633 49 St in Red Deer, was previously the location in which the entire Youth HQ team was located. In 2023, the administration and Big Brothers Big Sisters teams moved to the Centre for Social Impact, leaving the BGC and 49th St Youth Shelter teams with significantly more space at the location. BGC has since greatly expanded their youth programming out of the building, creating a more welcoming and inclusive environment for youth with programs such as the Youth Drop In program that allows youth to come have a space to do schoolwork, hang out with BGC leaders, or just relax after school.
Youth HQ and BGC offer a huge thank you to the Piper Creek Optimist Club for their sponsorship and many years of continued support. This sponsorship will help BGC continue to run programs out of the Parkvale Club House and provide more unforgettable experiences to youth in Central Alberta.
