Orange Door Project Raises $9,822.85

From Tuesday, December 1st to Sunday, December 2, 2020, the Red Deer Home Depot customers were empowered to be a part of the Home Depot Canada wide giving campaign by being asked to make a $2 donation in support of the 49th Street Youth Shelter a local non-profit agency that provides housing and/or supportive services to homeless youth.

The shelter continues to run 24/7 open to youth in crisis. Dedicated staff continues to adapt to the demands of youth homelessness and the ongoing COVID crisis and the challenges it brings to us all. I hope someday soon we can get together with our local Red Deer Home Depot to formally acknowledge their amazing efforts and results in promoting youth homelessness and raising the unbelievable amount of funds especially during such trying times for the Youth Shelter. We are eternally grateful and value the support we have received over the years from Home Depot and the support from the community of Red Deer. It does take a “village to raise a child” and together we succeed.
