It is with considerable regret that we inform all donors, sponsors, supporters and participants involved with the 2020 NHL Legends of Toronto Charity Hockey Game and Banquet at the Westerner Park Centrium the event has been cancelled.  Due to unforeseen circumstances, the NHL Legends of Hockey have informed us of their decision to cancel the event on March 15th. The cancellation is ultimately irreversible, as the decision is not within our control.

Youth HQ, the home of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Red Deer and District and Boys & Girls Club of Red Deer and District, is incredibly disappointed in this decision. The event organizers have engaged in a tremendous amount of planning and soliciting of support for this event over the past six months.  We have a proven track record of hosting very successful events year-over-year and were excited to add this unique offering to our repertoire. The focus of the March 15th event was to raise funds through player pledging, as well as ticket sales and sponsorship, for our programs in nine central Alberta communities. As a result of this unforeseen decision, Youth HQ in tandem with these programs will suffer some financial loss.

All funds received, including non-receipted donations and sponsorships, will be returned to our supporters and participants in a timely manner. We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to the members of the public who have purchased tickets for this event in support of our causes; tickets purchased for the game will also be refunded as a result of the cancellation.  We will be in contact with our supporters as quickly as possible to ensure all funds received are returned.
