Mayor’s Office brings Christmas to Youth Shelter

The City of Red Deer Mayors Office contacted the 49^th Street Youth Shelter for a Wish List of items that they would need for the holidays.  They were provided a generic list of needed items.  Mayor Tara Veer personally brought some Christmas Cheer to the youth at the shelter.  This included treats, snacks, presents, and personal care items for the youth.  Youth HQ thanks Tara Veer and the Mayor’s office for their efforts in helping to respond to some Christmas wishes in support of the 49th Street Youth Shelter. It is greatly appreciated by the staff who keep the shelter open 24/7 to ensure youth in crisis have a safe place to go.  These gifts will go directly to youth that resides within the shelter and the Youth and Young Adults in the Community Based Programs.
