Youth HQ and the BGC would like to express our gratitude to the team at ATCO – Central Region for their generous contribution of $4,941.75 in support of the Boys and Girls Club.  Funds were raised through the annual ATCO EPIC Campaign in late 2020.

2020 has been a challenging year for all of us and we will continue to be challenged in 2021.  Our agency has responded by adapting our programs and services in a manner that maintains connections with the children and families we serve.  The support from our friends at ATCO has certainly made it possible for us to continue to respond at a time when the community needs our services more than ever.

“Given these challenging times, our people were still able to come together, albeit virtually, to support Youth HQ and shelters across Alberta through our annual ATCO EPIC fundraising campaign,” says Bruce Legault, Manager, Red Deer Operations, ATCO. “Our employee-giving program exemplifies the generosity, spirit, and caring principles our people share and we’re so proud to make such a positive impact in the communities we serve through this treasured program.”

ATCO EPIC is based on more than a century of continuous community support. The employee-led program rallies the spirit of ATCO’s people all over the world, combining fundraising events, volunteerism, and individual donations. ATCO employees donate directly to the charities of their choice, and the company enhances its peoples’ generosity by matching those donations made to human health and wellness charities. ATCO also covers all administration costs for the program, ensuring that the charities benefit from 100 percent of the donations pledged. The 2020 campaign raised 2.18 million dollars in support of charitable objectives throughout Alberta.
