Youth Needs Assessment Report Available

Youth HQ held a media conference on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 10:30 am at the Don Campbell School Community Space, 99 Irving Crescent Red Deer, AB T4R 3S3. The purpose of the conference was to announce the public release of a needs assessment report regarding youth in our community. Youth HQ Board Chair, Kris Fleckenstein, presented the findings of the needs assessment. Fleckenstein’s presentation stated Youth HQ will use the information in development of a 5 to 10- year Youth HQ Master Plan.

“The conversation with numerous community stakeholders in attendance following the presentation of the findings was very generative,” states Fleckenstein. “I’m also encouraged by some of the comments as to the willingness to collaborate. In addition, it was not surprising that the research validates sentiments of many stakeholders.  The full report is now available on our website.  Please go to youthhq.ca/news.  We look forward to working with our community to drive the promotion and engagement of community collaboration in responding collectively to the identified youth issues.”

Youth HQ, along with its affiliates, Boys and Girls Club of Red Deer & District and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Red Deer and District, offer numerous programs and services that support children, youth and families. We all need to ensure our children and youth have accessible, barrier-free, safe places to go. Youth HQ thanks our community that enables us to do so.  This is your place …
