Whether it was launching paint rockets, making 3D-Glasses, building catapults, or playing with slime, so many of the fun science activities we were able to do throughout 2021 were thanks to the Trottier Foundation’s funding of our Discovery Lab program.
Discovery Lab engages kids ages 7-12 in exploring science concepts through an interactive curriculum that connects science to real world contexts. The program engages Club kids early and often, at a critical age before study and/or career decisions are made. Discovery Lab focuses on hands-on experiments in a range of science areas, increases participants’ understanding of scientific approaches, creates opportunities for problem-solving, and helps young people discover career opportunities in STEM fields.
