On Friday, January 18 Royal LePage Network Realty Corp held their annual banquet and presented Youth HQ with a cheque in the amount of $20,000 in support of the 49th Street Youth Shelter.  Jacquie Boyd (Executive Director) and Heidy Panameno (Board Director) were present for the presentation.  The donation was a result of funds raised at the annual Royal LePage Realty Charity Golf Tournament held at Alberta Springs in June of 2018.

In addition to dollars raised Royal LePage Network Realty Corp also solicited the support of businesses in the community to provide in-kind support to the shelter.  A special thank you to Kipp Scott for the generous donation and installation of a security surveillance system;  The Bay for a generous contribution of bedding, towels and household kitchen supplies to the shelter; and to the Red Hot Chilli Painters for their support by painting the kitchen, drywall repair and touch up painting throughout the facility.

A special thank you to Jan Carr, Janice Mercer, Tammy Jensen and the team at Royal LePage Network Realty Corp for all your efforts in making a difference in the lives of vulnerable youth in our community by helping the shelter to provide a safe and comfortable place for youth in crisis.

The 49th Street Youth Shelter offers a safe place to stay with supportive staff who can help youth figure things out and get pointed in the right direction. Safety of youth is our number one priority, and we want to make sure youth have the support needed to move into a better situation. Whether youth are facing abuse, addiction, neglect, loss, mental health concerns, or other problems, they can reach out to the caring team at the 49th Street Youth Shelter.
