BeYou is a campaign created to increase self-esteem and empower females aged 9 to 16 years across Canada. BeYou aims to give young girls access to personal and professional development tools, while celebrating their growth, diversity and self-worth.

BeYou is a campaign created to increase self-esteem and empower females aged 9 to 16 years across Canada. BeYou aims to give young girls access to personal and professional development tools, while celebrating their growth, diversity and self-worth.

Throughout the mall, there will be stations focused on various topics: Be Active, Be Involved, Be Loud, Be Proud, Be Safe, Be Smart, Be You!

Ardene ‘Art on Sneakers’ Competition:
Showcase your uniqueness and creativity by decorating a pair of sneakers, provided by Ardene. Design something that speaks to our “Be You” theme, be free and showcase what that means to you! The winner of the best design BE YOU sneaker will receive a $100.00 gift card from Parkland Mall!

Panel Discussion – How to Empower Our Girls For The Future:
We will also host a panel discussion from 12:00pm-12:45pm (panel 12pm-12:30pm, then 15 mins for questions) on the main stage. Our panellists include:
– Nicole Buchanan, Chair – Red Deer Public School District
– Diane St. Denis, Athletics Director – Red Deer College
– Theresa Lynn, General Manager Alberta South – TELUS and Vice Chair – Youth HQ Board of Directors
– Moderator: Jo Phillips – Co-owner of Jo(e) Social Media

The event runs from 11:00am-4:00pm.

Developed by Morguard and presented locally in Red Deer at Parkland Mall in partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Red Deer and District.
