Dec2

December 5th is International Volunteer Day.  Youth HQ would like to take this opportunity to celebrate the tremendous impacts our volunteers have had on all of our programs.  2020 has been a very challenging year in so many ways, and our volunteers continue to adapt to these challenges by continuing to make a difference in support of the children and families we serve throughout Red Deer and area.

We ask our membership to take an opportunity on December 5th to reach out to our volunteers and thank them for everything they do.

To Be a Volunteer

To be a volunteer, it takes…

Generosity, a willingness to give your time to others
Understanding, because their lives might be very different from your own
Empathy, an ability to put yourself in someone else’s shoes and feel what they must feel
Compassion, to truly care about making someone else’s life better
Patience, because the process doesn’t always go as smoothly as it might
Dedication, to stick with the project and see it through

You’ve shown these qualities and so much more, so thank you for all that you do.
