Position: BGC Support Worker

Job Summary

Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the BGC Support Staff is responsible for the day to day implementation of after-school and evening drop in programs for children and youth. This position will work closely with a small team to deliver fun, safe and adventurous programming to children and youth aged 7-12, in line with the Boys and Girls Club Core Programming.

The appropriate candidates:

  1. will need to have valid first aid (or obtain within first 3 months of employment)
  2. will assist in the planning and implementation of exciting, challenging, safe and adventurous programming in line with the Boys and Girls Club ‘Model for Success’
  3. will be 16 years of age of older
  4. have a strong desire to work with children and youth.
  5. provide quality experiences and to be a positive role model in a child’s life

This position is a casual position (no guaranteed hours), typically between 2:30 and 9:00 pm, Monday thru Thursday.  This is a temporary position until May 21, 2019, with an excellent possibility of extension in September,

Job Type / Category

This position includes working with Children between the ages of 7 and 12 in an after-school setting. Kids are at their most vulnerable between the hours of 3 and 6 pm, which is why we step in to offer services. When schools out, Clubs are in!

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary (with excellent possibility of extension)

Salary: $15.00 to $16.50 /hour
