Big Pursuit Raises $43,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Red Deer & District | Youth HQ

May3

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Red Deer & District held the third annual Big Pursuit on Sunday, April 28 in Red Deer. This Amazing Race-style fundraiser raised $43,000 to support community-based programming as well as in-school mentoring programs in Red Deer and in the  communities we serve.

Over 25 teams competed in Red Deer’s biggest adventure race. This year’s unique event checkpoints included Firehall #1 downtown, Elements on RiversEdge, East Hill Save-on-Foods, Parkland Mall and Cam Clark Ford, among others. Teams competed in a variety of challenges, despite the inclement weather, to make it back to the Radisson Hotel first. Prizes were awarded for the top teams and fundraisers. Prize donations were made possible through the tremendous support of local community and event sponsors.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Red Deer & District is very grateful to have the support of our presenting sponsor, Servus Credit Union. Servus entered teams from each local branch in the central Alberta area. Youth HQ thanks all our event sponsors and participants for making a difference for children and youth in our community.
