Position Details:
Prepares the necessary food items in accordance with standards and in a timely and efficient fashion.
Adheres to standardized recipes and specifications in order to maintain consistency and ensure all standards are met
Is responsible that the kitchen and dining room are kept at a high standard of cleanliness
Ensures that the kitchen/freezers/coolers are kept in an organized manner
Ensure that station opening and closing procedures are carried out to standard
Ensures that all food products are handled, stored, prepared and served safely in accordance with HACCP and company approved methods
Ensure that the quality of all food and beverage products are of the highest quality
Other reasonable duties as assigned
Work well with Camp staff helping to create a “Team” atmosphere
Has a complete understanding of WHMIS, Food Safety, and First Aid
Operate kitchen equipment in a safe manner
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
Must wear closed toe, non-slip footwear at all times when on shift

Qualifications
Recommended 2 years of kitchen or catering experience in Food Service Industry
Valid Standard First Aid with CPR and Advanced Food Safe certificates
Interprovincial Red Seal Certification or higher is an asset, but not required
Must be physically fit to perform all duties of the position
Positive attitude and outgoing personality are essential
Emotional maturity, able to handle stress and demonstrates professionalism
Be able to build collaborative relationships
Must be neat, professional and well-groomed
Applicants are required to live on site during camp sessions (room and board will be supplied)
